The Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS) program assists no to low income families with the cost of child care. Families may apply for subsidized child care at Georgia Gateway.

Visit the Georgia Gateway website. Log in or create an account. Select “Child care” from the list of assistance programs. Follow the prompts to apply for CAPS. A CAPS staff member will call you to review your application and determine eligibility. Applications are processed in the order they are received.

When funding is available, child care is subsidized for low-income families who meet the program’s requirements. You can apply for these benefits, check the status of your application or renew your benefits by visiting, Georgia Gateway. For additional information, please visit caps.decal.ga.gov .

The Department of Human Services (DHS) assists qualifying families with the costs of childcare through the Childcare and Parent Services Program (CAPS). Local county Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) offices determine the eligibility for CAPS.
